Intergroup Bylaws Revision
The Greater Chicago/Milwaukee SLAA Intergroup's (GCMSI) bylaws are guiding principles that inform service at the Intergroup level. These bylaws have been revised incorporating feedback from local SLAA groups and are now ready to be voted upon for approval and use. All votes must be submitted by March 1, 2022. Contact mailroom@slaachicago.org for details on how to get your group involved.
Intergroup Positions Available
In March, the Greater Chicago/Milwaukee SLAA Intergroup will hold elections for Intergroup officer positions. If you would like to participate, we encourage you to join us on March 19th at 8 a.m. This month's meeting will be hybrid, we are meeting at NTAC (909 W Belmont) as well as on Zoom, please contact 312-725-9918 for details.

Facilitation (5 Minutes.)
● General Report: Anthony

■ Bylaws Update Responses (Vince and Officers)
● Email sent out to intergroup with resources to assemble a group conscience and vote to approve on the information. Deadline March 1st.
● Summer retreat how to guide work in ongoing and should be helpful to incoming summer retreat co chairs.
■Web Facilitation
● Middle of recruiting Zane to help with a specific project and website reorganization.
● How to guide is ongoing.
Fiduciary (5 Minutes)
● General Treasurer Report: Papa Chair/Treasurer, Vince Vice Chair
● Financial report was reported. Group donations have been coming in consistently - its been a huge help to the IG. Thank you to intergroup reps. Need contact info for each group that has donated over the past year (inreach? website?).
● Work is ongoing to separate the slaa summer retreat financial needs from the intergroup financial resources. Work is ongoing to slowly transition the summer retreat to its own accounts, as the summer retreat is able to build up its own funds to be self supporting.
● Discussion on planning ahead to save for summer retreat and get read.

○ Initial Cash Flow Projection for both Retreat and 2 delegates - Based On DeKoven Requirements (roughly 40% - 35 retreatants approx)
OutReach (5 Minutes)
● General Report: Sean Chairperson, Hannah Vice Chair
○ Direct Outreach - St. James, Progress and Plan?
● St. James has postponed all in person meetings until end of March. We are calling for more trusted servants to help this meeting get started near the end of March. Outreach needs help from website, IG reps, and inreach in order to let people know there is an in person meeting to attend.
Suggestion: make outreach to clergy, professionals and other groups as a priority for building the meeting and reaching potential newcomers.
Inreach General Report (15 Minutes)

● Two newsletter articles submitted so far.
● Upcoming themes are February- service and sobriety. March - Step 3. Submission deadline is Feb 16 for next newsletter.
■ Literature Review Subcommittee Basic Text(Anthony)
● Guide is the priority. Long term goal is to go back to the basic text and provide clear and direct feedback
■ Reachout to Meetings for IG Reps
○ Retreat 2022 Caitlyn, Anthony, Chris
■ DeKoven, Current status - Financials/Contract Issues
● They have taken out of the contract almost all of the concerns they have. Old poc has offered a price they can’t sustain. Next year’s price will be different. Plan is to price check against LaSalle. Negotiations are ongoing. If a deposit is needed, it will likely come from intergroup.
■ Fall Gathering Candidates
○ Co-Chair Nominees (Allison, Abigail, Moly? Christie?)
● Valentine Day Event - Christie Co-Chair Nominees -Dave, Abbigail
● Tentative plan is February 12th, from 6-9 PM. There is currently discussion as to whether the church will have some food. Suggested donation at the door is $6. Suggestion that we offer a waiver of liability, or assurances to talk with the church and encourage them to let us do this. Currently it is just SLAA members only at this time. We should start announcing it. Expecting about 20 members to attend.
